Our Lady of Sorrows Blue Rosary
Our Lady of Sorrows Rosary is deeply inspired by the rich history and profound devotion associated with Our Lady of Sorrows. The story of Our Lady of Sorrows is deeply intertwined with the events that led to her immense grief and compassion, focusing on the Seven Sorrows she endured throughout her life. These sorrows include the prophecy of Simeon, the flight into Egypt, and the crucifixion of Jesus, among others, which have become a cornerstone of Marian devotion and empathy for her suffering.
This exquisite rosary captures the essence of these sorrows with blue square Swarovski crystals and teardrop Swarovski crystals. Each Hail Mary bead is a deep blue square Swarovski crystal, symbolizing Mary's sorrow and her mantle. As you glide your fingers over each bead in prayer, you will feel a gentle pricking sensation, reminding you of her suffering. This tactile experience invites you to unite your own sufferings with hers, enhancing your meditation and prayer.
The Our Father beads are represented by teardrop Swarovski crystals, symbolizing the tears Mary shed. When you look at these teardrop crystals, you are invited to see through Mary's teary eyes, imagining the profound sadness and love she felt. The sparkly crystal teardrops reflect light in a way that resembles tears slowly falling down her cheeks, creating a visual and emotional connection to her sadness and sorrow.
At the center of the rosary is a silver-plated medallion depicting Mater Dolorosa, Our Lady of Sorrows, a powerful reminder of Mary's enduring compassion and grief. The rosary is completed with a silver-plated crucifix featuring Mary at the foot of the cross, signifying her presence during Jesus' crucifixion. This poignant combination symbolizes Mary's immense sorrow and her constant support during her Son's ultimate sacrifice, calling us to reflect on the depth of her suffering and the strength of her faith.
Designed to be a solemn and elegant tribute, the combination of blue square and teardrop Swarovski crystals creates a visually striking piece. Each element serves its purpose in deepening your devotion and meditation. Praying with the Our Lady of Sorrows Rosary allows you to meditate on the Seven Sorrows of Mary, each represented by a decade of beads. This devotion helps you to enter into Mary's suffering and develop a deeper empathy for her pain, connecting with her and seeking her intercession in your own life.

Materials & Care
Gold Filled:
Gold-filled is made by bonding a layer of 14- or 12-karat gold to a brass core, creating a tarnish-resistant surface with only gold visible. The metals are fused using heat and pressure and then shaped to specific sizes. The gold content is 5% by weight, and this type of metal cannot be cast. Gold filled has a much thicker layer of gold over the base metal compare to gold plated.
Sterling Silver:
Sterling silver is composed of 92.5% pure silver, with the remaining portion typically being copper, added to enhance the silver's strength. Recognized as a precious metal, sterling silver is prone to tarnishing, a natural chemical reaction that happens when silver comes into contact with air. Fortunately, this tarnishing can be easily reversed.
Argentium:
While Sterling silver is an alloy with 92.5% silver and 7.5% usually copper. In contrast, Argentium silver has more pure silver (93.5% or 96%) and includes germanium. Argentium is more durable, has a higher melting point, and is easier to work with than sterling silver. Additionally, Argentium is significantly more resistant to tarnishing, being seven times more tarnish-resistant than sterling silver.
Gold Plated:
Gold plated involves electroplating a thin layer of gold over a base metal like brass or copper. There's no set standard for the karat weight or thickness of the gold layer in gold plated items. The color of the gold can vary depending on its karat weight; for example, 14k gold tends to have a lighter yellow hue, while 18k gold usually appears with a darker yellow color.
