While we count our blessings, we're acutely aware that many children face a different reality. Amidst the captivating beauty of Bali, we've seen the stark contrasts that these young souls endure, yearning for life's basic essentials.

From a young age, our parents instilled in us a heartwarming tradition: visiting and supporting local orphanages. I particularly remember how, at Christmas time, our focus wasn't on receiving gifts but on bringing them to these orphanages. These experiences, enriched by our parents teachings, emphasized the joy of sharing our blessings with children who were less fortunate. This tradition wasn't just an occasional gesture; it was a deeply rooted part of our upbringing, shaping our values and perspectives.

As we grew, this practice became more than a family custom; it transformed into a personal mission. When we, as a couple, returned to Bali, a place brimming with memories and without children of our own, our dedication to this cause only intensified. The tradition of our childhood evolved into a deeper commitment, driving us to extend our support and love to the orphaned children in Bali, a place that held a special place in our hearts. With over 4,000 children across nearly 80 orphanages the urgency to step in became impossible to ignore. We endeavor to provide not just sustenance but also educational resources, ensuring these children receive what they rightfully deserve, hand delivering these essentials to their orphanages or villages.

In Indonesia, over 21 million individuals subsist on less than $1 a day. This economic hardship directly impacts nutrition, with 87 million children and adults facing food insecurity. Consequently, one in three children under five years old suffer from stunting due to inadequate nutrition. Educational challenges are also significant; one in five children do not complete primary education, and in remote areas, access to schooling is often limited or non-existent. Additionally, 4.4 million Indonesian children are orphans or have lost one parent. These factors contribute to a stark reality: 4% of Indonesian children will not survive until their fifth birthday.
